Just Do the Thing

I’ve been thinking about starting this blog for over a year but have procrastinated because

  1. sharing thoughts with the wide world is scary.
  2. I’d read that it’s wisest to buy a domain and host it yourself if you want to do blogging “right”; however,
    1. I often lack follow-through, and
    2. I don’t like wasting money on projects I don’t complete, which instead led to
    3. keeping a blog in my brain, while reading other blogs about decluttering and minimalism and wishing that other people were writing the posts I could have been writing myself.

So at last, here I am.

Hello, Internet.

If you, like me, have a project you want to start but are keeping yourself from doing it with a list of practical, seemingly legitimate excuses, I encourage you to get started anyway—but in the cheapest, lowest-risk way possible.

In my case: What is less risky than a free, unadvertised WordPress blog? Not much.
