Hi, my name is Tara. I’m a 30-year-old, soon-to-be mom of two. I’ve lived in the suburbs all my life, except for the 4 months I spent studying abroad in Sydney, Australia, when I was 22. I grew up in a converted summer cabin along a brown creek. I spent a lot of time during my teenage years wandering the woods with my dog, just thinking about things.

Employment-wise, I’m an editor and web designer. Hobby-wise, I’m a musician, writer, and homemaker. I still like to take walks—but now they’re usually through residential neighborhoods or cemeteries, instead of the woods.

For the past few years I’ve spent a lot of my thinking time mulling over minimalism, personality typology (Myers Briggs and the enneagram), and boundary work. In short: personal growth. This blog is intended to be mostly about those things, but also ends up being about baking too, because I love sweet treats.

Thanks for stopping by.
